According to sources in Italy, Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen still wants to leave Napoli this summer, but the Italian giants have reiterated he is not for sale. Il Matino reports that Osimhen's representatives have requested a meeting with Napoli sports director Cristiano Giuntoli to talk about the future of the Nigerian international. The 23-year-old is reportedly still in talks with Bayern Munich of Germany, which is what prompted the request from his agents. Bayern continues to search for a quality striker to take Robert Lewandowski's place after he moved to Barcelona in July, strengthening their offensive unit. Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentis, replied that Napoli would not listen to proposals for Osimhen anymore until 2023. “We are out of time to listen to any kind of possible proposal,” he said. "Everything is postponed to next year, for the moment, Osimhen remains in Naples and we are no longer accepting offers.” Osimhen is an essential player in the eyes o

Haaland's first goal helped Manchester City defeat Bayern.

In a weather-interrupted friendly at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin on Saturday, Pep Guardiola's team defeated Bayern Munich 1-0 thanks to a goal from Erling Haaland.

The game was cut short to 80 minutes as a result of two lightning delays, one before kickoff and one in the first half.

After Guardiola declared him over the "niggles" that held him out of City's 2-1 win over Mexico's Club America in Houston on Wednesday, the $61 million striker Haaland had plenty of time to make a mark in his debut.

Before Bayern's Serge Gnabry's close-range shot was rejected in the seventh minute by a thin offside call, Manchester City had twice threatened.Five minutes later Haaland struck. After Riyad Mahrez’s free kick was blocked Kevin De Bruyne managed to corral the ball and slip a pass through for Jack Grealish, who whipped it across to Haaland to connect from close range.

Frustratingly, another round of electrical storms brought proceedings to a halt, with players exiting the field and the near sellout crowd of 78,128 at the iconic home of the NFL’s Green Bay Packers instructed to seek shelter in the concourses.

The start of the match had already been delayed almost 20 minutes because of dangerous weather conditions.

The stoppages didn't damper the joyous mood for the first professional soccer game ever played at Lambeau, and some tough spectators even braved the torrential rain and potential for lightning to stay in their seats throughout the interruption.

Play resumed with 27 minutes left to complete a 40-minute first half and Haaland quickly energized City fans in attendance, bursting through behind the Bayern defense.

But before he could unleash a shot a charging Dayot Upercampo booted the ball away.

Although Manchester City controlled the pace, Bayern had a golden opportunity in the 38th minute when a cross from the right found Alphonso Davies at the far post, but his pass across the goal face didn’t quite make it to Gnabry.

A minute later Haaland almost made it 2-0, but his left-footed shot from inside the area was disallowed for offside.

Haaland departed after 40 minutes of action, giving way to newly signed striker Julian Alvarez who nearly doubled the score in the 43rd.

Despite a stream of substitutions in the second half, tension remained high between the Premier League and Bundesliga champions until the end of the truncated contest as Bayern — who opened their brief tour with a 6-2 drubbing of Wayne Rooney’s DC United, sought in vain for an equalizer

Following the game, both teams took flights home because the following Saturday would see Bayern play RB Leipzig in the SuperCup final and Manchester City play Liverpool in the Community Shield.
